Yoder Brothers of Barberton has grown to be a world leader in flowering research and breeding. As Yoder Brothers breaks new ground with perennials, the company continues to expand its support of the horticultural industry with new varieties of many types. While chrysanthemums remain Yoder’s largest crop, the company has added the development and production of azaleas, hibiscus, poinsettias,  impatiens, pot roses, dahlias, asters and annuals. Bill will share with you his tips on growing and maintaining one of the plants he knows best…hardy garden mums as well as a discussion on his new Tradewinds Everblooming Tropical Hibiscus. February 5            Color Your World with Annuals
11:00 – 1:00           Polly Kaczmarek, Keep Akron Beautiful Polly is the Flowerscape Director with Keep Akron Beautiful. Her power point program will include a brief overview of the Keep Akron Beautiful Flowerscape/Adopt-A-Site programs as well as “tried & true” varieties of annuals and new, unusual varieties that they have trialed in their beds. She will also discuss how to combine colors and textures and give recommendations for soil preparation, planting, design, and maintenance. Polly will also touch on certain long-blooming perennials that mix well with

annuals.
