I moved into a home with three established stands of 7′ tall pampas grass. Now, in pre-spring season, I would like to cut the plants back to 2 feet. I know to wear long sleeves, golves and dungarees, but need recommendations on the best tool to use in shearing the stand. There is too much for hand shears. Anyone have any recommendations? Saw-bladed weed eater? Long-handled loppers? Sickle? Thanks, in Alabama.
