This new Penstemon from Blooms of Bressingham® graces the garden in early summer with its delicate blossoms. Deep pink buds open to bright lavender pink, tubular flowers with white throats and magenta veining inside. The flowers are held on upright stems which hold the flowers high for passing hummingbirds. If cut back after blooming, this variety may rebloom in fall. This plant has attractive glossy, green, lance-shaped leaves and forms a dense clump. During the heat of the summer when other perennials languished in our trial gardens, ‘Sweet Joanne’ continued to look as pretty as ever.
