With a house that was starting to wear down and energy bills that were going up, Dawn McInnes recognized she and her two sons were living on the edge of fuel poverty. “Pennies make pounds” reflects her determination to pursue every means possible to tackle the problem, including small changes in the entire family’s daily behavior – not just to save energy, but because “it just makes sense.”
