A very warm welcome to the newest version of Bombay Flying Club! We are extremely excited to have Uwe on board with us and we are also happy to say that the rest of 2012 looks busy and packed with workshops and projects. We encourage you to check out some of Uwe’s personal work and to browse around our new site. With time we expect this site to grow a lot and we hope to produce and present a lot of work in the years to come.
Prior to the launch of this updated website we decided to clean up in our portfolio and basicly throw out a lot of the early Flash based stories that actually brought us to the very point where we are at today. It was a tough but necessary decision. It doesn’t mean that the stories are offline but they won’t be a part of our present portfolio. We will post some links to them soon.
Technology has changed immensely over the past few years. We have cameras today that allow us to shoot in extremely high quality and publishing platforms that we didn’t dream of just 4-5 years ago. Our mission today is to be ambitious but experimental journalistic storytellers and to teach other photographers how to approach and master new visual formats.
We are just about to publish our new story from Ethiopia. It will go online on September 15th in Inquire Magazine which is available for purchase in App Store. The magazine will feature our multimedia story along with an in-depth article, a stills gallery and an interview with us.
Later this month we will have more news and information about a research trip to Brazil and our involvement in the World Press Photo Multimedia Research Project.
